Nevada County Fire & Rescue proudly serves Zone 1017, a vital response district that includes a large portion of Interstate 30 (I-30) and the surrounding rural areas of Nevada County. Our department responds to a wide variety of emergency calls in this zone, with a strong focus on:

 Motor Vehicle Accidents

 Vehicle Fires (Car & Truck)

 Grass and Brush Fires

 Residential Structure Fires

This zone is one of our most active areas, with calls driven by rural terrain, open land prone to wildfire, and traffic incidents on both the interstate and backroads. 

 Mutual Aid Support
In addition to covering our primary zone, we take pride in our strong mutual aid agreements with surrounding departments. Through close coordination and teamwork, we assist neighboring fire departments whenever additional support is needed — ensuring no call goes unanswered and no community stands alone.
